Ruttenberg Cancer Infusion Center

This new cancer treatment center was built on the Plaza level of Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Guggenheim Pavilion. The Ruttenberg Cancer Infusion Center provides the medical center with space for examination and infusion treatment to cancer patients. This one-of-a-kind, visually stunning unit consists of a one floor facility. The space houses nine single-patient infusion suites, two multi-patient infusion rooms, and fourteen individual examination rooms. Asian-themed interior finishes such as sliding screen partitions were installed throughout the center to help facilitate a relaxed, calm and welcoming atmosphere. Also included in the construction are the center’s two separate reception areas, adjacent clinical and laboratory areas, as well as required waiting rooms, filing spaces, storage areas, and a new conference room. For the duration of the construction phase all other floors of the building remained fully operational.
